Founded in 2006, This is Knit is a family-run yarn shop based in Dublin, Ireland. For nearly two decades, we’ve been a go-to destination for crafters of all skill levels, offering a curated selection of quality yarns, tools, and accessories. More than just a shop, we pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming hub for knitters and crocheters, both locally and globally. Whether customers visit us in person or online, our aim is to provide the same level of warm customer service, alongside valuable tips, guidance and inspiration.

Together with their experienced team, owners Lisa and Jacqui Sisk, believe that crafting is for everyone, and we’re passionate about supporting our customers with expert advice, workshops, and plenty of encouragement along the way. Our shop has built a reputation for its exceptional customer service, and we’re always ready to lend a hand—whether someone is choosing their first skein or tackling a complex project.

Over the years, This is Knit has evolved, but our mission remains the same: to be a trusted source of inspiration and support for knitters and crocheters worldwide. Our shop features a carefully chosen selection of yarns, including those from our sister brand, Townhouse Yarns. We love connecting other makers, collaborating with designers and hosting social events. We're always on the lookout for exciting ways to bring people together through craft.

In fact, later this year, we’re thrilled to be hosting our very first Retreat in collaboration with KnittingTours.com. Over the course of five nights, participants will stay in luxurious four-star accommodations in both Dublin and Wicklow. The itinerary is packed with exciting activities, including day trips to local landmarks, hands-on fibre craft workshops (with all materials provided), and a social event in the beautiful Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, home to This is Knit.
