Sonic Unleashed is about to turn 17 years old, which is honestly kind of crazy to think about. It holds up well in the gameplay department, and the art direction rivals AAA games coming out today, let alone other Sonic games. But there’s an issue in regard to playing it nowadays… What’s the best way to play it? The original versions on 360 and PS3 are low resolution and have framerate issues. The Xbox One is better but still not great. The Xbox Series consoles added the option for 60 FPS gameplay, making it the definitive version on console right now, but is it really the best way to play Unleashed? I beg to differ. Let’s try playing Sonic Unleashed on PC in 2025.
