Now cultural appropriation is the adoption, usually without acknowledgment, of cultural identity markers from subcultures or minority communities into mainstream culture by people with a relatively privileged status.
But if we're saying Bruno Mars can't do black music because he's not black, then that's one thing, but it's not cultural appropriation. If we say that it's not fair that black artists who are as talented or more talented than Bruno Mars arent as popular as him nor sale as well as him and that's not fair, is another thing. But it's not cultural appropriation.
