Popular Cells at Work Manga Author Akane Shimizu revealed that Kodansha has a history of abuse against its manga authors. Saying they will ignore, insult, and actively harm them to the point where they feel the only option is to prematurely end their series in the magazine. Kodansha even admitted they were wrong and apologized.
