THIS IS BIGGER THAN KATHRYN KRICK: THE “ANOINTING” DECEPTION
What if much of what is being preached today about the “anointing” and the transfer of anointing is not biblical?
What if people, while seeking a special or advanced anointing, are opening themselves up to deception—to another Jesus, a different spirit, and a different gospel?
This video is bigger than Kathryn Krick. It examines a widespread teaching found throughout parts of the charismatic movement: the belief that certain ministers possess a special anointing that others must receive through impartation, submission, financial giving, or connection to them.
But what does the Bible actually teach?
The New Testament says that God has anointed us, placed His seal upon us, and given us His Spirit. It does not teach Spirit-filled believers to chase specially anointed people to receive a higher or more advanced anointing.
Jesus warned that false christs and false prophets would arise and deceive many. The words “Christ” and “Messiah” mean “the Anointed One.” Could this warning also help us recognize leaders who effectively say, “I carry a special anointing that you need—come, submit to me, and receive from me”?
