Arranged and Performed by Alex Sheen
Inspired by the wonderful film and Powell's brilliant score, I embarked on the project to transcribe the entire soundtrack for piano in February 2011 - all by ear. Completed arrangedments can be found on my blog page via the link above. This is the first of a series of recordings to come of the piano performances.
It was somewhat disappointing to see that no official piano score were ever published and that many arrangements up on the web aim at a simpler level and miss out on the details (with the exception of the works by Sebastian Wolff, with whom I'm delighted to share a correspondence). I hope my arrangements meet the needs of people who look for a more demanding version of the soundtrack.
