Apple just put their first 2-nanometer chip in the Mac Mini!
The M6 is a 12-core CPU with two super cores, a dual Neural Engine, and Neural Accelerators in every GPU core. Apple claims 4x faster AI performance over the M4 Mac Mini. It starts at $899.
But here's the curveball: there's also an M5 Pro version. Older-gen chip, but up to an 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 64GB RAM, and Thunderbolt 5. Starts at $1,699.
My take:
→ M6 is the one for most people — photo editing, coding, Final Cut, everyday AI
→ M5 Pro is for 3D rendering, heavy video, larger local AI models
