I'll be the first to admit, I have an unhealthy obsession with Iron Maiden. Anything they put their name to, I will buy. This also extends to musical instruments. My latest acquisition is the new Fender Dave Murray 50th Anniversary Stratocaster.

Fender released a series of signature guitars to celebrate 50 years of Iron Maiden, with each guitarist getting a new model under the Fender and Jackson brands.

I've been in the market for a Dave Murray Stratocaster for a number of years now and this 50th Anniversary model was simply too good to refuse. This is a Mexican made Fender, with Seymour Duncan pickups and a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo system, but visually it is inspired by the famous black Stratocaster Dave Murray played in the early days of Iron Maiden with the silver humbucker rings mounted on top of the pickguard.

This might be one of the best guitars on the market for any Iron Maiden fans out there, but is this just an Iron Maiden guitar? Or is it a whole lot more?
