Hasbro reached out on behalf of one of their partners, Kilburn Live, to invite me to attend a VIP Preview of the Nerf Challenge Tour which is kicking off in Los Angeles on Saturday December 7th 2019. Having organized the largest Nerf events in the world, I was especially interested to attend and check out what they had built.
Nerf Challenge is a super produced interactive experience using just about everything in the Nerf brand portfolio. Inside there are 3 themed battle arenas, loads of carnival style games, a massive stage with huge video boards, human bowling, a Nerf Arcade, food vendors, a lounge, and even a Nerf retail store. The event works around a RFID wrist band which keeps track of your time in the space, and all of your scores.
I was impressed at the sheer amount of staffing (more than 100 employees) and details put into the entire ordeal. I really felt like I was in a Nerf Night Club.
The Nerf Challenge is said to be going on a 6-7 city Tour in 2020, kicking off with Los Angeles first. As of the time of this video the actual tour schedule has not been released.
