It's janky as hell, there's no getting around it. But honestly, I enjoyed my time with this game a lot more than I thought I would. The co-op feel of rolling around in a squad of tanks with the boys is great fun, and I think with more missions like the last one the game could be seriously engaging, just as long as it gives you enough AI attacking to actually feel threatened.
