Here are some gameplay highlights of me running through the hardest (Nightmare) difficulty in Lost Soul Aside after 100 hours. Music is muted so you can insert your own favorite music that fits the gameplay instead.
Been playing it more than I have expected before going into Ninja Gaiden 4, and I got to say that it is a shame Lost Soul Aside has not reached to its final build that the devs team Ultizero Games and Yang Bing had envisioned. If it was rightfully developed and polished, this could be among many great action games with Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, Nier, etc.
Granted, it does not come without flaws. Despite being able to mix between 4 weapons during combat, the gameplay started to be repetitive because of certain moves being more efficient than the other, and I do not see the reason to use it when one move provides better result than the other that shares the same purpose with weaker result. Beside that, I wish there was more movesets to expand on replayability and combo variations.
As it stand right now, Lost Soul Aside is incomplete. Story progression and character development definitely feel rushed in a way that we dont get to know better of the whole presentation, but there is no doubt that the gameplay was the main focus with some epic bossfights/mob battles and combat depth/intensive skill expression.
