Electric air taxi is taking off. Joby Aviation’s vision for fast and clean city travel is becoming a reality with its partnership with Virgin Atlantic. The Air Taxi seats 4 passengers and take off vertically, similar to a helicopter. But unlike helicopters, it’s quiet and produces zero emissions. 6 tilting rotors let it hover, lift, and cruise through the skies. It can reach speeds of up to 200 mph with a range of 100 miles when fully charged. Test flights have taken place in both the United States and Japan.
