I just received a custom stacked flex nib from Shak-MD, and the design is genuinely brilliant.
At first glance, the top nib writes an extra-fine line. But when pressure is applied, the lower nib flexes outward, revealing itself only long enough to drop a huge wet line onto the paper before springing neatly back out of view.
In this video, I take a close-up look at the custom JoWo #6 stacked nib and show a writing sample so you can see how the mechanism behaves in real use.
