This painting almost didn’t happen.
I started with a composition that just wasn’t working. One of those where you keep looking at it, hoping it will magically fix itself… but it doesn’t.
So instead of forcing it, I did what I often do, I started playing.
Layer by layer, turning something “weird” into a background, following the motion, keeping parts I liked and letting go of the rest.
This one became a very intuitive painting. No strict plan, just responding to what’s already there.
And sometimes… that’s exactly where the magic happens.

• Turn a “failed” start into a workable base
• Build depth using circular motion and layering
• Work intuitively instead of forcing a result
• Decide what to keep and what to paint over
