Welcome back to Sandustry!
Episode 26 starts with some more experimenting with the automated mining setup, and we discover a pretty useful way of taking advantage of the regenerating resources.
By positioning everything correctly, we can essentially constantly farm the same area, leaving the setup automated so that it continues producing more resources for us over time.
It might not produce an enormous amount at once, but the important part is:
we don't have to touch it anymore.
It just keeps generating.
From there, a lot of this episode is about continuing the enormous cleanup operation we've been doing across the entire Sandustry world.
Old sections of the factory are disappearing, resources are being transported away, and we eventually manage to completely clear the top section of the map.
That leaves fewer and fewer areas still waiting to be mined.
But there's one problem.
The backlog.
There is an absolutely ridiculous amount of material trying to work its way through the factory. We actually manage to clear one backlog… only to discover that huge sections further down the line are still completely backed up.
Thankfully, nothing appears to be properly blocked anymore the factory is just slowly chewing through the mountain of resources we've thrown at it.
So in Episode 26:
we create a never-ending automated resource farm
clear the entire top section
continue dismantling the old factory
and watch our ridiculous resource backlog slowly disappear
The world is getting emptier…
…but the factory still has a LOT of work to do.
