Last year I hard-committed to having the Strymon Volante on my board for one main reason: its sound-on-sound mode. Dont get me wrong, I like the tape echo sound on Volante (and will probably do a comparative look at it and the El Capistan soon...) but I LOVE that you can so quickly and easily access an entire world of sound on sound looping at the touch of a button.
For me , that feature has become incredibly valuable (and fun!) tool both live and in the studio. So today were going to talk about how I use Volante to create textural ambient loop beds as foundations to my ambient guitar writing.
