In a controversial episode of This Day Tonight from November 1971, Gerard Stone interviewed draft resister Michael Matteson who was currently evading police arrest. Attorney-General Ivor Greenwood was also interviewed on the program and implored Richard Carleton to detain Mr Matteson once the show had concluded.
