Now, let me share with you a quick story about this painting:
Spring has to be my favourite time of year. The freshness of the morning Spring air filling my nose makes me feel reborn. It also holds so much anticipation for the year ahead. For gardeners the daffodils are like that jolt of excitement for the flowers to come.
These pots of happy daffodils are the first thing I see out my patio window in the morning. It’s like they whisper a little ‘good morning’ to me to brighten up my day.
I painted this artwork outdoors, with my ‘plein-air’ painting kit. I used oil paints so that I could move the paint around and mix colours and layers easily. The purple/blues of the pot really makes the yellow flowers pop and jump off the canvas. I used a mixture of brush strokes and a palette knife to create interesting marks and texture.
This painting celebrates the beauty of Spring and is perfect for anyone that loves their daffs! 😍 Can't wait to see them in your lovely home!
