This comment made the claim that Charles Wilcoxon (a famous drum teacher and author of hundreds of snare drum solos) referred to a “ruff” as a “drag” but in the Wilcoxon books that I’ve used, I have not seen that… he did however call the “ruff” a 3-Stroke ruff…

Just another example of how different teachers use different terminology and variations to explain some of the same things…
