* APEX Polyaspartic Countertop Coating
* APEX Poly White Countertop Dye
* APEX Surface Control Finishing Spray
* PolyColor White Metallic Powder
* PolyColor Black Metallic Powder
* Ultimate Top Coat Matte or Gloss (optional)
Carrara Marble Planning Coverage:
* Plan for about 6 oz of mixed APEX per sq ft.
* Project sq ft × 6 oz = total mixed APEX needed
* Part A = 2/3 of total mixed APEX
* Part B = 1/3 of total mixed APEX
Kit Coverage:
* .75 gal kit: about 16 sq ft
* 1.5 gal kit: about 32 sq ft
* 3 gal kit: about 64 sq ft
* 6 gal kit: about 128 sq ft
Step-by-Step Overview:
1. Measure your project and calculate the APEX needed.
2. Prep the surface so it is solid, clean, dry, sound, level, sanded, and ready.
3. Apply APEX Poly Fuse Countertop Primer where the system calls for it and let dry minimum 6-8 hours.
4. Before applying APEX Polyaspartic Countertop Coating, lightly sand with the fully dried primer surface with 220 grit and remove all sanding dust.
4. Stage all tools and products before mixing.
5. Measure APEX at a 2:1 ratio by volume.
6. Mix for 2 minutes total, scraping halfway through.
7. Split into color cups.
8. Build your opaque white, translucent white, white metallic, and small black accent cups.
9. Use the stick test to check opacity.
10. Pour the white base first.
11. Add soft gray and black Carrara movement sparingly.
12. Feather and break up veins while APEX is wet and workable.
13. Let the white breathe.
14. Lightly mist APEX Surface Control Finishing Spray during the wet working window.
15. Do not torch APEX.
16. Scrape drips at the right time.
17. Allow APEX to cure before sanding or topcoat.
18. Finish with Ultimate Top Coat if you want the recommended standardized Stone Coat wear workflow.
19. Allow full cure before heavy use.
