Matt Braly, the creator of Amphibia has bounced back from the recent news that his film with Rebecca Sugar has been cancelled at Sony Pictures Animation by unveiling his BRAND NEW INDIE ANIMATION STUDIO! Fantasy Project will be getting the ball rolling this year with the launch of their brand new series: Clara and the Below! An animated gothic horror spin on the Nutcracker full of wintery chills and somber vibes!
To save her bedridden ex-military father, Clara must fight the ghosts of the soldiers he killed on the battlefield in a surreal world under her house simply called the Below. She is aided by a mischievous toy nutcracker who represents her innocence and childhood.
This proves indie animation is the future as it just keeps getting stronger with more industry titans leaving the corporate ladder to create something much more sustainable! So let's talk about it!
