A review of Once Upon A Broken Heart! By Stephanie Garber! A new start from the Caraval trilogy!
One of my most anticipated reads this year was magical and charming in its own way, but let me down in more ways than one, starting with our main character; Jacks who only possessed half his charm; rushed pacing and a predictable plot; and I personally couldn't connect with any of the characters. Also one of the villains is so mega obvious and has so little character, like, who cares if he's a villain he's lame.
2 and a half stars, but I'm still excited to explore more of one of my favorite book worlds!
