Today we're continuing to review the book 'Love and Respect' by Emerson Eggerichs and having a look at some reviews from real people who read this book and it had an impact on them.

Like many books and content I discuss here on my channel ‘Love and Respect’ is a book about relationships which has some kernels of truth at its base. It opens with the statement:
‘You may remember how the Beatles sang, “All you need is love.” I absolutely disagree with that conclusion. Five out of ten marriages today are ending in divorce because love alone is not enough.’

And I have to thoroughly agree for a relationship to work long term each couple will need different things but ultimately you also need mutual respect, to listen to each other and communicate effectively, to share core values and life goals, and so on… but Emerson Eggerichs the author of this book goes another way… He believes relationships need something else, to be structured in a different way. They need love and respect… but not mutual love and respect, instead he believes all a relationship needs to work is for the wife to sometimes FEEL loved, and the husband to ALWAYS BE respected.
