Jumping into the demo for Still With Me today, a new indie psychological horror game created by merius. The premise here is incredibly unsettling. We are returning to an old apartment we used to call home, but it quickly becomes obvious that the place itself hasn't forgotten about us.
The developer really nailed the observation-based gameplay. Rather than just throwing cheap jump scares at the screen, the horror comes entirely from the tense atmospheric sound design and noticing subtle things shifting in the environment. The psychological pressure slowly escalates the longer you stay inside, making you question every dark corner of the room.
This is my complete playthrough of the demo. The environmental storytelling and slow-burn tension are exactly what I look for in these smaller indie titles, and it is a massive recommendation if you enjoy games that mess with your head.
