Well technically, it's not an ad for an anime, but an anime ad for something else. It's not a first for Cup Noodle to make a viral ad, as they've done it before by referencing Kiki's delivery service in a previous commercial (the one where we saw Kiki all grown up and even confessing Tombo). This ad went viral even faster and it might be because it actually has a ton of pop culture references and other easter eggs that you may or may not know. But let's go through all of them and you tell me if you noticed them the first time around.
