I do A LOT of riding at night, so a good bike light is absolutely key. This one from AliExpress is easily the best light I’ve ever had!
With bike lights, it’s quite easy to find ones that are ridiculously bright, but to find one that is bright, great value, AND compact is much more difficult. After searching around AliExpress, I found this CBL 1600 from a company called Magicshine (although the same light can also be found under the name ‘EVO 1700’). It can output a whopping 1600 lumens, doesn’t require an external battery pack, and also comes with a wireless remote.
However the best feature is that using the remote, you can easily switch between high and low beams, just like a car headlight. 1600 lumens is more than enough to blind any oncoming traffic, so the ability to dip the beam wirelessly using the remote is a game changer.
I picked up my one from AliExpress for around £53 ($67), but they can also be found on Amazon, and some other retailers.
