There’s a reason they call it an emergency blanket, and many SAR teams are equipped with one.
They’re small, lightweight, and can make the difference between staying alive or risking hypothermia.

I personally use a SOL tarp which is a thicker version. But you can get emergency thin ones for your big out bag:
