We traveled to San Francisco to get hands-on with the @InfiMaker K1, a desktop 5 axis CNC built to make machining real metal a whole lot more accessible. With true 5-axis motion, automatic tool changing, and software designed to cut out much of the traditional CAM headache, this thing is doing a lot in a surprisingly small package.
We put the K1 to the test by machining an STL of Grant himself, take a close look at the surface finish, and see whether this could be the next big upgrade for makers looking to move beyond plastic.
