Jackie Chan — maybe the greatest screen fighter that's ever lived — in what is undoubtedly the worst fight scene he's ever been in. And the man he's fighting is Scott Adkins. On paper, that should be perfect. In reality, it's a disaster — and in this video I give you three reasons why.
The Medallion (2003) was, at the time, the most expensive Hong Kong film ever made — a budget of up to $41 million. It took home $34.3 million worldwide. Rotten Tomatoes: 17%. Metacritic: 38. Even Scott Adkins said it himself: "Who wants to see Jackie Chan using special effects — he IS the special effect."
