On this episode of The Skid Factory we tackle the daunting task of splitting, cleaning and rewelding a torque converter.
As with many things related to Automatic Transmissions, the converter and it's construction are considered somewhat voodoo and not to be touched.
We dive in the deep end in an attempt to both educate ourselves and demystify the process but find out along the way that it is a very time consuming and finicky job and, whilst doable with our skills and equipment, is still probably more practical to have a pro do it, or just buy a bolt together.
