If you’re considering MasterBooks Consumer Mathematics for your teen, this video will walk you through everything I’ve learned from looking through the curriculum. While we haven’t used it in our homeschool yet—my kids aren’t quite old enough—I’ve spent time going through both the student book and teacher guide and wanted to share my honest thoughts for other homeschool parents who might be weighing this option.
MasterBooks Consumer Math is designed for high school students and focuses on real-world, practical math skills—things like budgeting, banking, taxes, loans, insurance, and wise money management. It approaches these topics from a biblical worldview, weaving in principles of stewardship and contentment, which may be an important consideration depending on your family’s values.
