I am getting the garden ramped up for a bigger harvest this year aiming to become as close to fully self sufficient on vegetables as I can.
Last year was a difficult one regarding the drought conditions so this year I have installed IBC's (Intermediate Bulk Containers) I have two and they each hold 1000 litres, plus already I have another 1500 litres of storage in water butts giving me a total of 3500 litres. This will get me through a normal Summer but another dry summer could still see me falling short.
I shall be using pumps to move the water around the plot, I purchased a cheap mains powered pump from Amazon, it really wasn't the solution I was hoping for so I bought another pump, this one is a Bosch 18 volt pump which should do the trick according to all the reviews I have seen.
