Big changes are coming to Mom and Pop Video Shop — but we're not going anywhere. Here's the real update on what's next for the channel, plus three things we've been watching lately.
After three straight years of weekly uploads, Joel and Tyson are hitting pause on the regular Monday review schedule to focus on new projects, including re-edited old short films, a feature-length drive-in documentary, video essays, and maybe even some spooky Florida ghost town road trips.
Don't worry, though: Spooky Flix Fest is still happening this October like it has every year since 2011, and the channel isn't going anywhere.
In this update, we also talk about what we've each been watching outside of the shop, including Wim Wenders' Paris, Texas, David Lynch's The Elephant Man, and the wild 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys.
