Today, we've got ourselves a 'double whammy' in the world of PlayStation. For starters, the decline in Bungie's value continues as PlayStation very obviously overpaid for the developer. Things only looked worse for them when Marathon didn't perform on the market, but it appears that PlayStation is willing to hang with it for now. This is a stark contrast to what we've seen with teams like Bluepoint. Meanwhile, PlayStation has opened up on their plans to use AI. While nothing out the game appears particularly alarming, it is a situation where the flood gates are effectively open. Just like any technology at any studio, it will start small and gradually creep it. To what extreme is something we'll only know years down the line.
