If someone lashes out when you set a boundary (guilt-tripping, yelling, calling you selfish), that’s not a sign to back down. It’s a sign you’re finally seeing the truth.

The people who benefited from your silence and compliance will resist your clarity. That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

Healthy people will respect your limits. Abusive ones will push harder.

Either way, you’re not responsible for their reaction.
