Following Inter crashing out of the Club World Cup against Fluminense, two of Inter Milan's talismanic squad members in Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Çalhanoğlu have seemingly grown apart. Lautaro's words were strong, but didn't name anybody, only for Beppe Marotta to name Çalhanoğlu, and start a series of unfortunate events, including a potential divide between Lautaro and Thuram.

With a new coach at the helm, this was not the end of season - and transition into a new one - that Inter supporters were hoping for.
