This shop replaced the transmission three times and replaced the PCM, but the problem still persisted. Using a wiring diagram and pinpoint testing, I traced the problem to a damaged pin inside the transmission connector. After repairing the pin, the Jeep was fixed—proving once again that proper diagnostics beat parts replacement.
