Due to a death in the family, the deadline for auditions will be extended till Sunday July 1st, with the announcement video coming out on my 22nd birthday, July 9th.

The premise is simple.
Long ago, portals appeared and many people entered them, never to be seen again. Now, over a century later, the portals have returned. The people are warned to avoid the mysterious portals at all costs, but that doesn't stop 13 people from going through them...
Your audition must show your character's backstory and personality; what their life is like before they enter a portal, how they react once aware the portals are cropping up again, (optional) their belief - or lack there of - in magic and fairies.
We must see how they find their portal, intentionally or otherwise, and we must see their portal closing behind them, either in their world or in Faerieland.
They must happen upon a cottage in the woods of Faerieland and talk to Cinderella, who guides them in the direction of city through the woods.
Your claim can be of any age, and the characters used in the video (excluding John Smith) are up for grabs.
Your portals can look any way you wish and appear anywhere you wish, within relevance to your particular canon

Your claim stands for 2 weeks; after which your character is up for grabs again unless you ask for an extension from myself or one of the judges.
About the contest:
Because 13 is considered a magical number, there will be 6 monthly rounds with two contestants eliminated each round. However, in this story, eliminated characters are given a happy ending as opposed to being killed.
After the auditions, the entries will be judged on a point system by the judge orchestrating the given round, with comments from the other judges. The two contestants with the least amount of points will be eliminated.
Now, prepare to enter Faerieland and watch the fairytales unfold.
