This 16mm film contains the first part of the film These States, presented by The Bicentennial Council of the Thirteen Original States for the U.S. Bicentennial celebrations. Produced by André de la Varre, These States was a travelogue of Revolutionary War sites. This part of the film focuses on New England, and the states of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. It provides information on the people and events that took place there which were important to the American Revolution. It shows historical buildings and sites, people in period costume, reenactments, and historic documents and artifacts. It also shows the houses of prominent people and talks about their activities.
