We’re working at Overland Expo, but we managed to sneak away from the Escape Trailer booth for a little while to explore the show—and WOW, there is a lot to see!
We also had an amazing surprise when we got to meet @mandyleaphoto, Mandy and Kendrick! It was so great finally meeting them in person, and they were every bit as kind and gracious as we hoped they would be. Moments like that are one of the reasons we love being part of the RV and outdoor community.
During our break, we checked out some of the most interesting RVs, truck campers, overland rigs, expedition vehicles, trailers, solar setups, batteries, storage systems and off-grid gear at Overland Expo. And, of course, we came away with WAY too many ideas for our own RV!
Rather than just giving you a tour of the show, we’re focusing on the features and ideas that actually caught our attention—and might be useful for your own RV or truck camping setup.
Some of these ideas could make a huge difference in a normal RV or truck camper. Others are absolutely incredible but come with a $1 million+ price tag!
And because we’re always trying to improve our own setup, we also talk about our ongoing battle with the “floaty” feeling from our truck and trailer—including weight distribution hitches, airbags, Timbrens, Shocker Hitch and other suspension options.
Whether you’re a full-time RVer, weekend camper, boondocker, truck camper owner, overlanding enthusiast, or just dreaming about your next rig, hopefully you’ll find a few ideas here that can make your own RV journey better.
