In this video I take you on a journey to St Faith’s, Little Witchingham, a remote church in Norfolk. The church, built in the early 14th century, has survived despite being in a sparsely populated area. Over the centuries, it faced periods of neglect and near-demolition but was saved multiple times. In 1967, Eve Baker, an artist and conservationist, discovered medieval wall paintings in the church, leading to its restoration. The paintings, depicting scenes from the Passion of Christ and other biblical stories, are significant examples of medieval art.
