On January 30, 1997, a routine morning turned into the most violent bank robbery in Richmond, Virginia's history. Two ruthless gunmen entered a local bank with weapons blazing, executing a 23-year-old teller, permanently blinding a heroic security guard, and escaping with $10,000 in cash. Because the surviving victims and customers were too traumatized to speak, the FBI and local homicide detectives were left with zero eyewitness accounts and a heavily flawed, skipping surveillance tape. Investigators had to piece together a complex puzzle from fragmented physical evidence—including a dropped semi-automatic handgun, red dye-stained clothing, and a chilling toolkit containing charcoal lighter fluid meant to burn the entire bank down.
