We humans definitely like to think of ourselves as the hardest-working creatures on Earth. Well, the animal kingdom would like to have a word. Take these rats, for instance. The biggest heroes in the smallest package. These tiny rodents can be trained to wear backpacks and scurry into small spaces to find survivors, such as buildings toppled by earthquakes. Their tiny backpacks contain microphones, video gear and trackers in the hopes of finding and communicating with people trapped under the rubble. Such a big job for their small shoulders, don't you think?
