There’s rare, and then there’s the Gelf Auto Phasing Unit GP-14.
This is only the third one we’ve seen and is in exceptional shape. The first two came from Pink Floyd’s Britannia Row Studio (and remain in our studio).
We are phaser aficionados and this is one of the best we’ve encountered. Designed by Ken Flegg back in the seventies when rack effects were still in their infancy - this is a stunning sounding silver box.
A look inside gives a clue as to why it sounds so good - the circuit contains hundreds of diodes. Clearly designed and built back when sonic excellence was paramount and to hell with the cost or build time!
