Story: Things seemed like they'd be always perfect, he had found a way to make her his future forever, but, a deep seated secret he had forgotten was soon to hit him, and hit home. Six months after proposing to her, he tries to tell her that he's been called up for Duty. Unawares she has a secret of her own. She's been branded, but, her brand is of a sort that marks her as an enemy to all. She's been seen as a demon to everyone, but him. While away, Snow finds that he has gained his own mark. And for one reason or another, it begins to drag out moments before his departure, each one heart breaking as they contain the one he loves. Strength is gained through it, but as more and more of his memories before leaving spring forward. It causes nothing but heart ache. He slowly begins to understands what Serah had been trying to tell him. Once you're marked, you're marked.
One side that she didn't know to the mark was, as a person's heart invokes the power of the mark, their strength begins to wain.
Over and over, memories plague at the mind as he finds his strength fading. Fighting to keep the memories at bay, he is fading fast. And in the final moments of his strength, he envisions what their future could've been, and all the happier moments of their life before this Hell. As a farewell, he's given a vision of the day he saw as she was taken from him. He had learned that Duty Members had found out about her being branded. In hopes to help her escape, she was lost either way to him.
In the end, he finds himself in a time of watching her become crystallized. For being marked, there is still hope for those who are. Helping those gain peace of mind, they become crystal. All that is left of her for him to remember her by is a single tear shaped crystal.
Her own farewell and goodbye.
Sidenote: I know. I know. Story is phail. But I had a different angle going w/this...I was gonna cut it off before the chorus plays through again at the end ^^; But, wanted to give you guys a full vid after dumping a lame end to "To Err Is Human." So, I made up for it w/a twist of a sort of ending. ^^; Sorry if it doesn't have a point to it at the end.
I was gonna go w/a kind of "Man goes off to War and ends up dying in battle...yadda yadda...yadda..." type of story, but that plot is SO over used and hits too close to present day times.
