Abrahams and his wife, Nancy (née Cocuzzo) co-founded The Charlie Foundation To Help Cure Pediatric Epilepsy.

Jim came to Hollywood with John Landis. John Landis is a famous Hollywood director known for Animal House, The Blues Brothers and Trading Places.
In 1977 he co-wrote the script for The Kentucky Fried Movie, directed by John Landis.
In 1991 he directed Hot Shots, with Charlie Sheen.
Jim’s son was having a hundred seizures da day. After the onset of a ketogenic diet, the seizures stopped completely within two days. A Ketogenic Diet consists of high fat, moderate protein, and very low carbs.
Today there is a growing awareness of the Ketogenic Diet to treat epilepsy and other conditions.
His son, Charlie, has remained completely seizure free.
