The curtain web spider, or Colombian funnel web spider, has family ties to one of the deadliest spiders on Earth. And it turns out, basically no one has ever recorded these spiders in their natural habitat! I'm Spencer Hoffman, biologist and filmmaker from North Carolina, and I'm seeking out one of these elusive spiders in the rainforest of Central America, to find out if they are truly the spider bite to worry about.
