In July, There Was a Home was awarded the BAFTA Student Awards for Games. The narrative-driven 3D puzzle game was created by Wid Alhajjaji from the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom.

Set in old Makkah Saudi Arabia, There Was a Home follows Noor as she returns home for the first time to pack up and explore her family’s old Hejazi house. During this, Noor goes on a journey of self-discovery to find the hidden secrets of this mysterious house built by her grandfather, using her grandmother’s journal to solve puzzles, unravel stories and save the house.
