if you explore the earth using google earth, then you will find one oddity, where every time you do an enlargement of the area it will always appear from above. even though your position in seeing the earth is from the side, from the equator. You do zooming to the north continent or south pole, then the appearance will always be from above, not from the side. if the satellite camera is on the equator, then zoom in on the north pole, how can the camera / satellite move directly towards the north pole?
