Can a true Christian remain a "carnal Christian" for life? Many Christians have been taught that someone can be genuinely saved while living in habitual, unrepentant sin with no evidence of spiritual transformation. But is that really what the Bible teaches?
In this video, we examine the doctrine of the carnal Christian, a teaching that is commonly associated with Free Grace theology. Looking closely at 1 Corinthians 3, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and 2 Corinthians 7, we examine what the Apostle Paul actually says. Does Scripture teach two categories of Christians, spiritual Christians and carnal Christians, or is this a misunderstanding of Paul's words?
We'll also explore the biblical teaching on regeneration, repentance, assurance of salvation, sanctification, and what it means to be born again. This is not about teaching sinless perfection. Christians do struggle with sin, even serious sin, but the New Testament consistently teaches that genuine saving faith produces a transformed life.
